Who can join Fulcrum?

Membership is open to all adults

 

How long has the group existed?

Fulcrum started in the summer of 2004

 

Who runs the group?

A committee is elected at the AGM to oversee the administration of the group.  The programme of events is member-driven.

 

What sorts of people join Fulcrum?

Our members come from a very wide range of backgrounds.  Most (but not all) live in or near Dorset.

 

How much does membership cost?

Current membership fees are £12 pa for an individual, £18 pa for a couple

 

How is my membership fee spent?

Fulcrum is not a profit making organisation.  Membership fees cover the administrative costs of the group. Accounts are presented annually at the AGM

 

When are membership fees due?

Membership runs for one year from the date of joining. To join now, click here and ask for an application form

 

Will I feel out of place if I come on my own?

No, you will be welcomed as many of our members are single

 

Can my partner and I join as a couple?

Yes, couples are welcomed too, and we have a reduced membership fee for couples

 

Who decides what goes on the programme?

The programme is member driven – members submit events at or before the quarterly planning meetings

 

Must all members organise events for the programme?

No, but anyone who wants to is encouraged

 

Can I bring children to the events?

Some of our activities are suitable for children, others not.  Please check with the contact member for each event.

 

Can I bring dogs to the events?

Some of our activities are suitable for dogs, others not.  Please check with the contact member for each event.
